In the last 2 weeks of work, we, 3 crazy people, have somewhat reintegrated ourselves into civilization. What a change after 4 weeks of road trip in a G-Class, where we had the opportunity to shower 7 times, visited 11 different countries, and crossed 14 national borders.

On 25 driving days, we used 1620 liters of diesel to travel 10420km, heat our G-Class during the cold nights, and cook. The largest part of it was consumed by our 3-liter turbo diesel, with about 1588 liters. The Webasto air heater required about 30 liters to keep our car nice and warm while standing, while the nearly 2 liters of fuel for the Primus cooker seems almost negligible. During driving, we achieved an average fuel consumption of 15.24l/100km, despite having Zarges boxes on the roof and maximum load, although this varied between 13l/100km and 19l/100km depending on the stage.

The direct costs of the tour amount to about €4500, without taking into account any equipment, depreciation, and material wear and tear. Let's not even mention the costs of upgrading the vehicle...
