Day 4 From Florence to Pontassieve

The start of the St. Francis Way had all the positive impressions for us. First of all, wonderful weather, then a relaxed start up the Arno until we went into the mountains. This gave us a foretaste of what awaits us in the next few days: nice little villages, lots of nature but also slopes that don't need to hide behind many alpine hikes. So at the end of the day our feet are smoking, our shoulders are aching and we now have to do everything we can to cure this with delicious food and wine.
