Let's move on to what we believe is the most beautiful part of Vancouver: Stanley Park. During our tour of Vancouver, we also made a stop here, even though you could easily spend a whole day in this park. After exploring the city and the harbor, we walked to Stanley Park. What's fascinating is that you're in the middle of a big city one moment, and the next moment you find yourself surrounded by pure nature. It's truly a great contrast when you need a break from city life!
The park is really big and can be fully circled on the Sea Wall or explored on various hiking and walking trails. We walked across the park towards the beach. It felt like we were in the middle of a forest, even though civilization wasn't far away. After a long walk, we arrived at a beautiful beach. After the long hike, it felt so good to take off our shoes and put our feet in the sand. Of course, we also tested the water; it was freezing cold! :D
We had found a really nice spot here. The sun came out now, so it was pleasantly warm. We sat on a log on the beach for quite a while, watching seagulls feasting on stranded starfish. Eventually, after our feet had recovered a bit, we slowly made our way back to the city. We still hadn't finished sightseeing, after all. We followed the Sea Wall path to English Bay, where we then made our way into downtown.
