78th and final stage 'Venice'

At around 10 PM, we finally arrived in Venice. Both Boris, Michael, and I decided to drive through the night due to the poor weather forecast and to take advantage of the currently good weather. Each of us according to our personal preferences. On the way to Verona, a driver stopped me and pointed out my broken taillight. Later, I met Ioannis from Cologne. He and I were on the same route, so we decided to ride together for a while. We parted ways later near Ulm. Ioannis needed a place to stay for the night; he had not slept enough the previous day. I continued on and got home around midnight. The weather was mixed but mostly dry. Thus ended my more than 5-month tour to and through Central Asia.

Conclusion: The tour was one of the highlights of my life so far. Beautiful landscapes and wonderful people will remain in my memory. I learned a lot about how to prepare and conduct such a tour. The decision to take on the adventure alone turned out to be a good one. The experiences have left me wanting more. 😉

The motorcycle endured the journey with only minor bruises and needs a thorough overhaul. Nevertheless, I consider the machine suitable in many respects for undertaking such a tour.
