After we went to bed early in the tent (to sleep), our tent neighbors were not very quiet. One was particularly loud. Interestingly, this "carries through" when we arrived, we could already hear spherical sounds from the same place. It's not really a bother, but it's also not really necessary. During dinner, we heard some cheerful songs and they were complemented by late laughter into the night. Luckily, I was tired enough. But not everyone in our group was. So not everyone was well-rested for today.
We got up at seven. You tend to wake up earlier when it gets light. In the morning, I first cooked the milk for the obligatory muesli, and later we went to Lindau for a small or big breakfast.
Refreshed, we continued along Lake Constance. The bike paths are beautiful and sometimes it's almost like a bicycle highway. That's why you're not allowed to ride your bike in some villages. But cars are allowed to drive. I don't quite understand that.
In Friedrichshafen, we stopped right by the lake and had our bought rolls with cucumber and salami/cheese.
The time and distance fly by. We were surprised by a heavy rain shower once. By the time we put on our raincoats and rode a few meters, it was already over.
And so we arrive in Meersburg with our heads held high. We make some hot water and pour ourselves a coffee.
Since I hear some thunder, I urge for another 30-minute ride to our destination, the campground. Shortly after Meersburg, the suspicion is confirmed that there might be more rain coming. The sky is black towards Switzerland.
Arriving at the campground, we check in and pay, then quickly start setting up the tent. And then it starts raining. Not just a little, but really hard. We wait a bit and go to the restaurant to enjoy our well-deserved beer. When we come back, the sun is shining again, so we finish setting up. A quick shower and then we look forward to having dinner at the restaurant.
At the restaurant, we order a hunter's schnitzel with spaetzle and a salad from the wonderfully fine salad buffet.
After the evening winds down, these lines are written and then it's off to the sleeping bag.
