After the mountains comes the sea, after the sun comes the rain.
We made a sightseeing stop in Cadiz, and since our city tours are becoming more efficient, we were done with it in just under 3 hours. We warmed ourselves in the sun and enjoyed the colors, just like the many stray cats. The location is strategically great, situated on an island, which the Phoenicians already knew to appreciate. The new buildings are right on the beach - certainly a piece of quality of life...
But we were drawn out of the city, and after a detour at Lidl, we reached our ****campsite with a fitness room and gym (things the world doesn't need... well, at least not on vacation). But the place was also very comfortable, clean, and a good starting point. So it's not surprising that many Germans, Finns, and Dutch people meet here to spend the winter. In Finland, the sun only shines for 4 hours in winter, and in Germany, there is snow... What are 2 rainy days compared to that?!?!?! We set up our awning, which allowed us to finally have our first coffee in bed thanks to the dry kitchen. :-) Now we've already been here for 5 days - doing laundry, tidying up, learning to surf, cycling, reading, making phone calls, bringing the bookkeeping up to date - and slowly but surely we're making first, delicate contacts. The really great thing about it is that no one here really cares about politics. Energy prices are not a topic. Everyone is happy, friendly, and peaceful... some are drawn to Germany, others are drawn away. Well, a fleeting first impression.
