San Diego or Sun Diego

The first day on the West Coast was sunny, very sunny. So I (Lukas) decided to go to the beach, whereas Bene wanted to play basketball (maybe you'll hear about what he did if he manages to write a post or at least correct my spelling mistakes). After we checked our luggage into the hostel, I took the bus towards Silver Strand Beach, but unfortunately I forgot to get off there. So I ended up at Imperial Beach about 10 minutes later. Upon arrival, I immediately jumped into the waves of the Pacific. The cooling was good, as it was about 30 degrees Celsius. I lounged in the sun for a bit, read a few pages, and then headed back. Did I mention that it took about 4 hours? So I strolled leisurely towards the originally planned beach. When I arrived, I was glad that I hadn't gotten off, as the beach was as packed as a tin of sardines! So I took the bus back to the hostel, where I met Bene again and we ordered pizza and continued watching our series. I would say the day was perfect, except for the one-sided sunburn from the beach walk...
