Only for me for 5 weeks. It was beautiful, it was good. A little bit of everything. The last few days were very calm. I couldn't visit Manuel Antonio Park. The booking system crashed on me. No worries, according to my neighbors here, the park is overcrowded anyway... In Quepos, you can eat great food and the promenade is a beautiful place to watch the sunset.
The journey from Orosi to Quepos was an event in itself. The highest point of the Panamericana Sud is at over 3,300 m! And Quepos is at 7 m. What a journey: countless vegetation zones, 10 to 34°C, indigenous people in traditional clothing, huge trucks fighting their way up and down. I wanted to get out and take pictures again and again, but these moments are not made for the camera. Too fleeting. The nature and the weather also cannot be captured in the same way I experience them. Only the immense memory remains.
Goodbye is not only from here. Our cat Mona was put to sleep 2 days ago. 15 years a beloved family member, always there when one of us wasn't feeling well. She would always cuddle up ... The world keeps turning. To think that one will return to the same world after 5 weeks is a mistake. Everything is changing.
Goodbye to Costa Rica. Goodbye to incredibly beautiful nature, wonderful weather, and great hospitality. I felt very, very comfortable here (with one exception). It also takes some time to be able to immerse oneself in the country and its people. And it would require Spanish. At least a few words helped, English also works well, but language makes the difference. So, sometimes, there remains a certain barrier. Hasta luego, see you another time...
What am I grateful for today? For 5 weeks just for myself.
I will write a conclusion and a few tips from the experiences I was able to have before the flight in San Jose. Only 2 more days, then I'll be on the plane.
