The entire country of Costa Rica consists almost exclusively of national parks. Many of them are located directly by the sea, like Cahuita on the Caribbean coast.
There is no entrance fee here, only voluntary donations to maintain the park.
Again, we had to walk several kilometers, including wading through a river and getting bitten by a giant red ant (thankfully, a few days before we were spared a scorpion bite in our room....) and animals... animals... animals...
The day ended with relaxing on the popular beach and a very good dinner at a restaurant called Nena. Now we know why we haven't heard much from her lately :-)
