Our first day in Tamarindo, or is it Tamagringo? 😬
Total culture shock after being in the 'prairie' for almost 12 days. Everything full of souvenir shops where you can buy Christmas decorations, among other things, people, happy hour, and beach vendors who want to sell you coconuts, pipes, fruit bowls ('And where did you get your 50cm diameter wooden fruit bowl from? -Oh, I bought it from the nice surfer guy with Rasta hair at the beach in Costa Rica 😁) and other treasures. It's going to take some getting used to.
Sebastian is already awake at 5:50 am (great) and he's bored (of course). So the day starts with too much TV and a little unstructured. Then we talk to some loved ones back home and see the tram in Bremen pass by on WhatsApp video. Oh, home and kindergarten are also great. I'm slowly deciding whether Sebastian and I will stay one or two weeks longer than Frank. Today I tend to say no. (Did I mention? Kindergarten is great 😂). However, Sohni is doing well in the 'swimming class' today and is hardly seen at dinner: there's a play area with Lego. :)
Tomorrow Frank will go diving and we'll report. My shoulder is still a wreck, so I'll look for a massage.
PS: the gecko on the bedroom ceiling keeps making noise. 😡 I had no idea before this vacation that those things make sounds!
