Bed flight

Yesterday was a long day, but the night was very short! Mom slept until 3 and from four o'clock both my parents were sitting upright in bed and tormenting the tablet. I didn't really care, the plan was to sleep until 6 o'clock.

That said, done... there was a really nice continental breakfast here at the Best Western O'Hare. Quick little Facebook Live hello back home, people responding, that's great!!

We were supposed to meet in front of the hotel at 7:30 to get good seats on the bus. However, the bus came with American laid-backness at 8:20, there was snow in Indiana and it just didn't go any faster... I like this relaxed attitude. It's difficult for many of us Germans to understand.

In the bus, Wolfgang and Yvonne gave us a short briefing. Exciting site story. Wolfgang is from Berlin and did his military service in Hoh Duenen. In 1987, he crossed from east to west Berlin and realized that the wall didn't look much better from the other side. Then he came straight here to the states and feels very comfortable here. He confirmed what I had suspected for a long time. In the USA, you are treated very honestly. If you're hardworking and take care of everything, you can live very well here. But if you let things slide, no one will help you either. Sometimes I wish we had a little bit of that at home... Yvonne was also very nice, she came from the Netherlands. That was quite handy, as the bus was 25% occupied by the Dutch.

Let's go to Middlebury, the factory where our RV is waiting for us. No photos allowed, well, we'll see ;-)
