San Antonio Downtown

Wotae: 17.07.2017

Sunday, off to San Antonio - Downtown. First stop: Japanese Tea Garden - requested by the Moldovan colleagues. Really beautiful garden.

Including the obligatory Koi fish in the garden pond.

Next stop, the 'Tower of Americas', San Antonio's tallest spot, observation deck, restaurant, etc. 229m high. Surprise at the ticket counter: $12 per person - I was expecting $25-30, and that would have been too much for me, but oh well...

From up there, you also have a fantastic view of San Antonio and the surrounding area. Amazing.

Once back down, we wanted to go to the 'Riverwalk' on the San Antonio River. It's a shallow, narrow river that flows through the city center, with pedestrian paths and restaurants on both sides of the bank. It's AMAZING! Incredibly beautiful, green, cool cityscape, a 'place to be'.

Incredibly beautifully designed with rustic stones...

lots of plants...

The Hard Rock Café has also secured this hotspot.

So far, I really like San Antonio. Great city. Completely in Mexican hands because today the CONCACAF match Mexico-Curacao is taking place at Alamodome. Unfortunately, I didn't know that in advance, otherwise I would have gone to the stadium and watched the game. Damn.
The eventful day came to an end. Tomorrow, it's time to go back to work - no other choice.
