New start: Departure no. 4

Wotae: 21.04.2018

Hello dear ones!!

Finally, another blog post is coming, after the last one is almost a month ago now. It's unbelievable how time flies. But whether you believe it or not, the last few weeks have turned out completely different than planned. That's why we actually decided not to plan so far in advance anymore, maximum one or two weeks.... And even that seems to be too much as we had to realize!!

We spent four incredibly beautiful weeks in South America with Josef, of which I will tell you in the next blog posts. But now I want to briefly tell you about all the changes in the plans. After Josef left, we flew to the sea in Colombia on the same day and wanted to relax for a few days in the Caribbean, write blog posts, sort pictures, write diary, catch up on everything that has been left behind.

We were only there for one night when bad news came from home again. This time, unfortunately, they were very bad... my little sponsor child Emil died while we were on the plane back home. We knew that this day could come, but nobody could have expected it to happen so quickly. So we spent the last two weeks at home and even though the occasion was incredibly sad, it felt incredibly good to be with my family and not lying somewhere on the beach in the world history.

To process everything now, to switch off again and to gather new courage, Jonas and I will spend two weeks "vacation" on the Canary Islands together with Annelie and Dennis. After that, we are planning to finally go back to New Zealand to our beloved pig farm. But you know how it is, you can plan a lot. And from now on, Emil is always with us, not only in our hearts but also on our backpack=)
