From completely desperate to 'so beautiful it can also be'

Today is Sunday, 21.11.21. On Friday, my nerves were at the end. I just couldn't anymore. I counted and estimated: 280 cars, of which every 4th or 5th was a truck or a bus, raced past us every minute!! day and night noise, noise, noise. And then came the solution: we were able to move into the old vicarage, which is nearby but in a side street. It is much quieter here. The house is huge with 8 rooms and 5 bathrooms. The pastor's moving boxes are still in one room. The vicarage has been empty for 2 years - because of Corona and an illness, the pastor had to go to Germany - and it was totally dusty and dirty. But no matter, we are happy and grateful to live here now. So yesterday and the day before yesterday we cleaned everything with the help of an employee and already feel at home. The first night was heavenly. There is also a small garden. And finally you can hear the wonderful exotic birds. The only thing missing is the sun. It only rarely appears.

We have been here for a week now and so much has happened. There was a lot to sort out and organize. On Friday Martin held the first church service; there were four of us in total. The church service was recorded and has been posted on the internet today. And we hope that with the 1st Advent, presence church services will be possible again after a total of 18 months.

This afternoon we are invited to the Catholic priest, who also has a German community.
