Xin Chao - Hello,
Welcome to Vietnam, around 6pm the plane landed in Hanoi on the runway with gray clouds and rain.
My first impression was positive, it was a very clean, compact, and organized airport.
So, leaving the terminal and heading directly to the bus stand, we waited for line 17, which was ready after about 15 minutes and took us to the center of Hanoi in about 90 minutes. A short walk (1 km) in the rain, and we were already at the hotel.
In the morning of the following day, it was time to start exploring. Initially, it was still raining, but soon it cleared up and even the sun managed to almost spoil us today. First, we reached the Dong Xuan Market. Another typical Asian market where seemingly everything was for sale. Spices, fruits, meat, clothes, and other trinkets.
Later on, we reached the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the One Pillar Pagoda.
Afterwards, we continued to the Temple of Literature which I really liked. It exuded nostalgia and the inner area was very peaceful, unaffected by the chaotic traffic of motorbikes outside.
Finally, we walked another 3 km to Hoan Kiem Lake. At the southern part was the Turtle Tower Pavilion
and at the northern end, we crossed the The Huc Bridge to Jade Island.
In the evening, at 10 pm sharp, the bus departed towards Sapa in the north of Vietnam. I can tell you, Hanoi is a very beautiful city.
Hen gap lei - see you soon
