6 hours on the go, 12 km hiking and 600 meters of altitude - that's what the four of us achieved today!
We parked at Blato and walked to Planina pri Jezero (1453m), which means alpine pasture by the lake.
Through a beautiful valley with white scree and coniferous trees, interrupted by magnificent meadows, we reached Planina v Laz (1560m), where we were welcomed with schnapps by Branko (aka Jolbe) and ...(?). Later, we tried cheese and sour milk at Lucia's and would have loved to stay on this magnificent pasture with the towering 2000ers in the background.
The descent was tough, especially without ankle boots, because we had to concentrate on every step - mostly with Noemi by the hand. Once I said to Robert that it felt like floating when we briefly walked along one of the rare flat areas...
At Planina Vogar, we admired the view over Lake Bohinj and praised our children for the hundredth time for their great hiking with us. Levi-Emanuel seems not to be tired at all and Noemi sometimes needs to be taken by the hand to make her walk forward and not sideways or backwards.
For dinner, we went to Gostilna Mihovc and had typical local dishes (fresh cheese dumplings with breadcrumbs and butter, mushroom soup, ...)
