Mendihuaca Beach

After breakfast

and an hour at the pool,

Today we go to the Caribbean to Mendihuaca Beach. We share a taxi with Julie and Gregori. And off we go again on the steep road to Minca.

In the Caficosta, we have delicious coffee and cake again and we say goodbye to the two of them. The fast Jose picks us up and takes us to Mendihuaca Beach with a stop at the supermarket. Since our Hostal Palmario is right on the beach, Jose even carries our backpacks along the beach.

We are warmly welcomed by Marisol and her staff.

The room is very simple, but the sound of the sea and the view make up for it all.

Since the sun is shining today, you have a real Caribbean feeling here and the sea is still warm.

In the evening we find exactly one bar (Pepes Bar) that is open (it is absolutely low season here) and get coconut rice with vegetables and Caipirinha.

We end the evening from our balcony with a view of the sea. The sun sets here at 6 a.m. and it is pitch black. Instead we see a moonrise on the horizon, something we've never seen before.
