In Alamos our paths separate since we don't go to the Copper Canyon after the bad news. So we start back towards the coast to quickly head south.
On the way to Mazatlan, there is not much to see except for square kilometers of agriculture. We stay overnight in a small seaside resort that the recent hurricanes have left with little glamour. Besides a restaurant where we eat, we are by the beach.
Further along the road, just before Mazatlan, we treat ourselves to two consecutive days of rest, including doing laundry and organizing the car.
You can tell from the flora and fauna that we have crossed the "Tropic of Cancer", which marks the beginning of the tropics.
