Daily Life

In the last few days, I was able to get an insight into the daily life of the Vietnamese people. Here are some keywords that come to mind:

- waking up early (between 04-06:00 am) and starting the day with some exercise and a hearty breakfast, just the way I like it. Some of the pictures above show breakfast and dinner.

- exploring the city during the day and taking breaks in the hammock

- slowly getting used to the air pollution

- green plants everywhere, but unfortunately also a lot of plastic waste on the streets (at least in Saigon)

- women don't walk alone through the city when it's dark. Unfortunately, I forgot my Swiss pocket knife, now I have to go home early 😉

- the best food can be found in small shops run by private individuals who cook in their own apartment and then sell it. Just like the nice ladies above.

- if you give a small smile, you get a big smile in return. I can't remember where it wasn't like that.

- coconut water is really the best refreshment on hot days!

- riding a scooter is so much fun! No matter how crazy it gets on the road (they have their own traffic rules), I always feel safe on the passenger seat.

- women love to look European (no flat nose, light hair, long eyelashes), but at the same time they also enjoy wearing their traditional dresses that accentuate their figure. I bought one in XL size now 😁
