The Galloping Goose Trail starts in Victoria, a highway for slow traffic. Any vehicle crossing this trail must stop and let the bicycles, joggers, walkers, etc. pass. There are various trails that stretch for several kilometers. I went on it yesterday with inline skates. It was not easy to get on the trail with the skates, but afterwards I enjoyed three hours of free riding. Little incline, almost all paved, and a beautiful area.
Exceptionally, the sun was shining on this day. Radiant blue sky and pleasantly warm. But today I feel what I did. Because I have a little muscle soreness in my legs. That's probably from sitting in school for a long time.
Today I wanted to take the bus to a park outside the city. The bus kept on going and I soon realized that I probably missed the bus stop where I had to get off. So I got off somewhere and did some shopping right away. Among other things, syrup, which I can also drink as it is, and also an umbrella, because it rains almost every day here in autumn. On the way to the bus stop, I asked a passerby for the right bus stop for the park. A good opportunity to use my English. He was able to give me the requested information in a way that I understood, and so I eventually arrived at the park, a little later than planned.
It's beautiful there, with one, I only saw one, but it has three medium-sized lakes. I only did the short round (60 min) because it started raining. Luckily I bought an umbrella beforehand. Sometimes I don't know why this or that happens to me, but I always trust in God that He uses it well, even if I don't notice it.
Today my fellow student had a birthday in the family and of course it was celebrated. On this occasion, they also asked me when my birthday is. As a joke, the daughter's friend said "next week". I said September 22nd. Hey, you were already here then and didn't say anything, was the family's immediate response. I said yes, because I didn't want to arrive and say, "Hey guys, it's my birthday today". They understood that. Now we will celebrate my birthday next week. It's nice how I was welcomed into the family.
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will be good and I can take some great photos.
