Hello.. I've been in Bali for a week now! I went to Uluwatu first. Unfortunately, it was raining continuously for the first few days, which is very unusual for Bali, even during the rainy season. So I couldn't go to the beaches there. Then I went to Ubud, which is about 45km away and a 2 1/2 hour drive. The traffic here is crazy. Ubud is great. I haven't taken many photos yet because of the rain, but I took some with my phone and then some from the past few days when it was finally sunny. Despite the rain, it's beautiful and sooo hot here. Always over 30°C. The weather is slowly getting better though. There's so much to do here! I've already done yoga (the yoga studio had a great view of the rice fields), meditation, milk froth art workshop :), we climbed a volcano at night to see the sunrise, had massages, went to the markets.. there are temples everywhere and it smells like incense. The people here are friendly. The food here is the healthiest and there are so many trendy, cozy cafes and restaurants with a view of the rice fields. It's always super cheap, healthy, full of superfood and super delicious. Every day you slurp a coconut. We visited a coffee plantation, the famous Tegalalang rice terraces. Today it's a waterfall's turn. I'm spending my days here with another German girl that I met in Uluwatu. Tonight my best friend is arriving for 2 weeks. I'm so excited to see you, Keschi!!
