First Stop 2.0: Dalat

Udgivet: 13.04.2017

So I bought a motorcycle, again. This time I didn't pay as much as the first time and compared with the one I had before, the second bike was/is in a much much better condition.

I decided to drive from Mui Me to Dalat, which was a great decision!

Due the altitude, Dalat is located at, the streets that led there were amazing (maybe not so much the condition of the roads, but more the landscape).

A friend told me about this hostel called Mr. Peace, at which I was aiming to spend a couple of night. As I arrived there, I got told it was completely booked out. Lucky for me i found a nother hostel down the road. It turned out, to stay at this hostel, was a much better decision. Pretty Backpacker House is it called, they opened 2 month ago that ment it was very clean and tidy. The couple that own the place are amazingly friendly. Basically the women runs the hostel on her own, due to the two other jobs the husband is doing. So i decided to help out in the kitchen.

I met a group of people with whom I spend most of my time with. The first day after I arrived i basically did nothing. The second day I went to the mechanic to get a couple of things fixed on my bike. I ended up spending my entire day there. Lucky for me there was this 69 year old local that told me his lifes story, invited me into his home and showed me his German motorbike which is almost 30 years old.

The third day I decided to explore the area around Dalat. I went to a temple and two waterfalls.

The area around Dalat is absolutely amazing.

After having to pomis, that I'll come back to the hostel once i have a wife and kids, I left after 4 night again.

The plan was to meet the people I worked with in Mui Me in a 150km away national park. We met in Cat Tien and spend two nights in a bungalow resort.

After spending the first night we decided to go into the national park and explore it. We ended up cycling 40 km and walking 10km through the woods. All of us nearly died due to the heat. Lucky for us we didn't!

After two days in the middle of nowhere, we spilt up for the finial time, except Denise, the Irish girl, I'll see her in Hi Chi Minh again. So I left to go Ho Chi Minh.
