There's not much to say about today, get on the plane, get off the plane and go to the hotel.

For a change, we decided to stay in a hotel chain (Intercity Hotel) for one night. The location is really strange; a few luxurious hotel buildings rise between decaying low-rise warehouses.

The Intercity Hotel is really beautiful and the view from the rooftop terrace is amazing. While swimming in the rooftop pool, you can admire the view of the Sugarloaf Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue. Our room is like a dance hall, maybe because we received an accessible room.

The only negative thing about this hotel was definitely the restaurant. Since we didn't like the buffet, we wanted to order à la carte. The waiter was not happy about it and after bringing the wrong food, he lost all motivation. The icing on the cake was after the meal, when he already had Thorsten's empty plate in his hand and stood next to me until I had swallowed the last bite, just to snatch the plate away from me. That was the first and only time that we asked to remove the tip from the bill here in Brazil.
