"The online check-in for your flight to Hamburg is now open" — with tears in my eyes, I stared at the freshly arrived email from Emirates on my phone.
And so the day started with a strange feeling in the pit of my stomach... only 2 full days left — ouch. Siar is incredibly sad too. Soon, he won't have Kian around from morning to evening, only in the evenings after work. So the homecoming will be especially hard for him.
After shedding a few tears, the day should then be enjoyed and savored properly.
A big city tour was on the agenda. Since I had been here before, I took on the role of tour guide again and led Kian and Siar through the city.
The only problem: it's currently very very hot here. 34 degrees with blazing sun and humidity over 60%. The iPhone weather indicated 40 degrees and that's how it felt.
Sweating all over 😂 even on arms and legs hahaha. The curious thing: the only one who has no problems at all with this is Kian. He slept comfortably in his stroller or chewed on his teething dino.
Twin Towers, KL Tower, China Town, Petaling Street, and Central Market (thanks for the tip Dad) were on the agenda. In total, we covered 16 kilometers. Quite a lot in the heat.
I still love the city as much as I did back then. It's just much dirtier here than in 2019. Back then, I found it really positive how clean it was, this time I noticed the trash on the streets... a shame.
It was also much busier than in 2019. Tourism after Corona seems to be booming. Great for the city. Unfortunately, the monkeys at the KL tower were no longer there. Nonetheless, we enjoyed it and had a really great day.
Tired and exhausted, we fell into bed. Tomorrow we want to spend the day at the pool and relax properly before the long journey home. In the evening, we want to see the Twin Towers again in the dark, as that is supposed to be a real highlight.
Let's hope the weather allows it. Because it storms and rains every afternoon here. How else could Malaysia be so green? ☺️
