The South Melbourne Market commenced operation in 1867 on land made available under a Crown Grant to the former City of South Melbourne. The original market covered the area bounded by Coventry, Cecil and York Streets and the St Kilda railway line in South Melbourne.
We went there to enjoy the evening in this unique atmosphere and wandered around to look at stalls with mostly handmade products as in candles, hats or else. Food trucks and established restaurants are there to serve you with delicious food while you enjoy the music with locals bands or singers.
