Tour data: Distance 137 kilometers including approximately 19 kilometers ferry (cum. 3,005 km), Ø 20.2 km/h, travel time 5:50 hours.

Weather: basically it was good weather for me, but windier than the last few days, it only really bothered me on this long bridge. In Germany, it was sunny and pleasantly warm.

Last night I had a long and very pleasant conversation with my generous and interesting hostess. We definitely had a lot to talk about, but we had to end the discussions because I wanted to leave early today.

We agreed to meet at 7:30 a.m. and she really wanted to serve me at least one cup of tea. I thought that was very nice and gladly accepted the invitation. However, we didn't spend much time together because I wanted to leave at 8:00 a.m. I was happy to take a farewell photo of her with the Danish flag.

Today was truly the day of bike paths. I only had to ride a few kilometers on less busy roads. The most impressive part was the long path just before the ferry, which went through a lush green alley and was approximately 20 km long. However, this path was interrupted by barriers when it crossed a road.

However, today could also be called a bridge day. I have never crossed such a long bridge on a bicycle as I had to do today. The length of over 3 kilometers was not the main issue, but the strong wind coming from the side. That made me ride very slowly, and I even considered getting off the bike and pushing it.

There is fear of heights and fear of flying, but is there also a fear of bridges? Definitely, I experienced such fear today. On one hand, there was the length of the bridge, the relatively narrow width of the cycle path, and above all, the strong side wind. You can hardly imagine the relief I felt when I reached the end of the bridge.

But the day was not over yet, there were two more bridges to cross. However, the first one was relatively easy and not as long, and the side walls were windproof, so it was easy to ride. The last of the three bridges, on the other hand, was a bit more challenging. However, right at the beginning, there was a sign indicating that cyclists must dismount. I gladly followed that instruction and pushed my bike, but later I realized that I was the only one doing so.

The fastest connection between Denmark and Germany is by ferry, which takes about 45 minutes. It was a pleasant ride, although I was the only cyclist on that ferry.

Shortly after, I arrived at the charming town of Fehmarn, which not only looks beautiful but also has good restaurants. I haven't been to a restaurant in a long time, so I took a long break and enjoyed some delicious fish.

I didn't reach today's accommodation until around 5:30 p.m. It is an Airbnb in a farmhouse.
