In the morning, we went to the major highlights. First to 'the Gap'. It was a viewing platform where you could look directly down into a gorge where the water masses hit the rocks. Then we saw a natural bridge... made of stone where the sea has worked its way through.
Then we drove to the city of Albany and wanted to explore a bit and also buy supplies.... But because it was Sunday, everything was closed! We didn't expect that because in Australia at least the supermarkets were open on Sundays... But that's how you can tell that we are now in remote regions.
Then we bought fish and chips for lunch and went to the port. There was a kite festival where you could fly your self-made kites.
Then we went to the visitor center of the city to ask what you can do in Albany on a Sunday and several beach walks were recommended to us... But at 15 degrees and windy, we didn't feel like doing that. So we drove to a mountain to visit a lookout at the highest point of the city.
After that, we continued on our route and looked for a campsite along the way. I didn't like it very much because it was on a large field without trees... And because it was so windy, it was simply the coldest night of our trip.
