Arrive, marvel, relax

After a pleasant but also exhausting flight, a long time in line at customs, a taxi ride with a small sightseeing effect, we finally arrived at our first destination:

South Beach, Miami - Ocean Drive 

Our hotel is right on the beach and has a nice little pool area. The room is huge.

First, we picked out our bathing suits from the suitcases and cooled off in the pool. Then we went to our room and had a little something to eat. The night went well and the jet lag was not too pronounced.

For that, we started the new day relatively early with a small breakfast by the pool, wondering why it seems that there is only sweet breakfast all over the world. Toast and jam don't make you permanently happy....

Then we took a closer look at the surrounding area during a short walk. For those who don't know, Ocean Drive is known for its many colorful and unique Art Deco style houses, and it's lined with bars and restaurants, hinting at a lively atmosphere in the late evening hours. However, this will not be a concern for us in the coming years 😉

Then it was time to relax by the pool. All day long 😊❤

We rounded off the day with a nice meal and a little walk around the blocks.

Tired, we now fall into bed to spend the day on a city tour tomorrow.
