Today our guide got the time wrong, instead of breakfast at 6:00, it was at 7:15. So I woke up too early 😬 and the song "don't worry be happy" was playing during breakfast.
After breakfast, we headed to the waterfall. It was a bit too cold to swim and it was raining, but it was still beautiful.
Then we looked for platypus and had lunch in Yungaburra.
Next, we admired the Curtain Fig Tree and went to Lake Eacham. There is a crocodile there, but you can still swim 😅 (I preferred the hotel pool). Instead, I went hiking in the rainforest for an hour with some of the group. The guide told us beforehand that if we see a snake up to 1m long, we should stop and let it pass. "If it's bigger, take a picture and turn around quickly. And don't look at your phone, I had someone on a tour who walked into a spider web with a very large spider". 🙈
What can I say, I only admired the plant life and didn't see any animals... maybe luckily 😅.
Now I'm relaxing in our incredibly amazing hotel, the perfect end to the trip.
Tomorrow we're going to the Great Barrier Reef, and sadly it's already our last day with the group...
