In the even cooler mountains in the village of Sapa.
Udgivet: 15.01.2019
On the evening before, we set off for Sapa at 9pm.
Morning, 6 o'clock in Sapa. It's really cold. Around 10 degrees. I'm standing in the cold with my two jackets. The crowd gradually disperses. Only me and one other person are still standing there. No one picks me up. What now? No one there felt responsible either. So I called the hostel where I booked. After waking them up, they made a phone call and then it worked out.
You could leave your things in a hotel and there was breakfast. The weather was so-so. Foggy, but at least no rain.
And here there was even a train to the highest point. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for that and in this fog, you wouldn't have seen much either.
Despite the season and the fog, this place is magical. At that time, I was very upset that I wasn't here in October, when it's harvest time and everything shines in light green. However, now looking at the pictures, it's still a beautiful place.
It was difficult to decide which of the 160 pictures to upload. Each one is more beautiful than the other.

A quite slippery and muddy affair. Some even slipped.

This green!

Sometimes muddy, then easier to walk.

And the locals guided us through this wonderful landscape to our accommodation.

Water in the rice fields everywhere.
And we had to pass right by them.

These plants are used for dyeing clothes.
Rubbing them makes your hand green. Adding water makes it blue (not my hand).

Lunch.
And Benedikt shows up again.
And homemade things are also sold to the tourists here.
On the other side, water from the stream flows into a ladle until the beam moves upward. If there's too much water, the ladle swings to the side and the water flows back into the stream.
So this construction keeps crushing these grains over and over again.
Hot beer?! Hot wine?!
That was our homestay.
And dinner again. We sat outside and played cards and drank beer. However, it got colder and colder. With only my two thin jackets, I was simply not prepared for these temperatures and froze.
