Since we booked our flight from Lima to Los Angeles only 8 hours before departure, we ended up on a budget airline called Interjet. Before that, we had the famous Ceviche with Inca Cola in Lima. The flight included a layover in Mexico City of about 7.5 hours. So we spent the night at the airport in Mexico City.
In the morning, we continued towards L.A. with a 45-minute delay. However, Pascal had some issues during the immigration (the check-in machine probably didn't recognize his fingerprints correctly), so he had to wait in line at the border protection for 2 hours.
Afterwards, we picked up the rental car and drove to the hotel.
Since it was only 4 pm, we wanted to do something, so we went to Griffith Observatory. From the observatory, we had a great view of L.A. at night and the Hollywood Sign. In addition to the museum, we also watched a planetarium show.
