Stage 24 Luarca to Navia

Luarca is already a very beautiful port town, with a promenade, etc. The ensemble is surrounded by the houses built on the rising mountain, and on top there is a very beautiful chapel and the coastal path. So in the early morning, up through narrow streets and countless steps, but from above there is a fantastic view to say goodbye.

So around 9:00 am I look at my hiking app: I have covered 5 km, it took me over 3 hours yesterday, okay. So far no bays, coastline, beaches. The snail will not overtake me today. By the way, I'm wearing completely fresh socks, the others are still wet from yesterday's adventure. The shoes, on the other hand, are (almost) dry.

I didn't need Voltaren for my knee, but I will treat myself to a beer today, "prophylaxis" is the magic word.

By noon, the decision is made, turn right off the Camino and half an hour later I see the motorhomes with their open tailgates from a distance - the direction is correct. A short time later, I sit near a surf school on the beach, having second breakfast...... good decision.

In between, I meet a group of pilgrims providing first aid. In the afternoon, I meet them again at the hostel, all is well.

There are already some houses for sale here, but, let's put it this way, they have potential, a lot of potential. And the pretty ones are occupied and not for sale. Also, the location is not right, for the given occasion it should be Riva del Garda or Aachen.

Navia doesn't have nearly the charm of Luarca at first glance, everything is quite plain, by the way, my prophylaxis beer is due.

I do find a few nice spots and also pass by a style consultant, it won't be enough for a Santa Claus beard for me, not to mention a membership in ZZ-Top...... wait and let the stubble grow.
