Stage 18 Rifugio Marmolada - Hotel Garni Esperia Alleghe

Last night I had trouble putting on the interdental brush cover. I must have had one too many glasses of wine. 😅 The night in the dormitory was horrible again. My roommates were pretty sick, so I deliberately turned to the other side all night. This morning I escaped quickly and went into the fresh air. For breakfast, it also pulled the corners of my mouth down. There was no bread 🍞 or anything like that at the buffet. Hey, strange, someone is biting into a roll. Ah, the bread basket just hasn't found its place at our table yet. 😅

This morning we went along Lago Fedaia for a while, then we entered the ski area of Malga Ciapella. I climbed down along the green ski slopes and under ski lifts until I reached Malga Ciapella. Then we would actually follow the beautiful Serrai di Sottogudda gorge for a walk. But not at the moment. It is closed, probably due to cleanup work. You could see several fallen trees. So we had to walk along a section of the road and there were also tunnels. Tough luck, what can you do? Once we arrived in Sottogudda, I admired the historical farmhouses, which are beautiful to look at. The rest of the way was a wide gravel path through Val de Pettorina until the confluence of two rivers, and then it follows along the riverbank to Alleghe. In between, I did something good for my feet. I put them in the stream for a moment. When I arrived in Alleghe, I was luckily surprised by my accommodation. I have a single room with a balcony. I quickly did the laundry and took a shower with a towel for drying (which looks more like a larger cleaning cloth 😅). Simple things can make you so happy. Then I didn't have anything to wear. 😅 But no problem, it dries quickly in this weather.

Later on, I will meet up with the others for pizza. I'm looking forward to it.
