Yesterday was the Nepalese Magi Festival. It marks the beginning of the warm season. So from today, the days and nights will be warmer again. We still worked, but it was more of a cleanup day. I was busy in the camp all day, doing dishes, trash, cleaning, folding our volunteer t-shirts. Currently, 60 people from 25 countries are living here. Pretty exciting. If we were to organize our own political summit here, the world would be in a much better place. At lunchtime, I helped the Nepalese prepare sweet snacks that we had in the afternoon. We danced a lot and to celebrate the day, we had Dhalbhat.
Today was a normal day at the construction site again. We drove to Saraswati School at 7 am with three jeeps. We did masonry, bent reinforcement, laid concrete rings for the toilet facility. Since I am responsible as the site manager for organizing and managing the tools, I built a shelf for all the screw containers. It could probably be done more beautifully, but it serves its purpose. Fortunately, we have some power tools here, but they are quite difficult to get in Nepal and when available, they are very expensive. Therefore:
