04/11/19 Return Flight Day 16

It's pouring rain and saying goodbye is not quite so hard. Today we're going back home.

The breakfast here at Lemon Suites Hotel costs 250 pesos and the selection is very good.

We can stay in the room until 12 o'clock to pack our suitcases calmly.

The taxi from San Telmo to EZEIZA airport costs 1,060 pesos. However, the taxi driver refuses our money, claiming it's counterfeit. Fortunately, we have enough other pesos to pay him.

At the post office in the airport, I pay with the counterfeit money for stamps and no one complains🤦‍♀️.

Our flight leaves on time and we fly home with a heavy heart.

The connecting flight is on schedule and we land punctually in Amsterdam.

Summary of a fantastic trip:

Argentina is unbeatably cheap as a travel destination, even cheaper in Buenos Aires than in Patagonia.

However, the people in Patagonia are much friendlier.

The people in Chile are also very friendly, but as a travel destination, Chile is almost as expensive as Germany.

Patience is required!! Waiting in line, no matter where, is normal and having a small chat at the register is also🙄

The food is delicious😋

The 5 days without Wi-Fi and network on the Ventus Australis were very relaxing.

The cruise was sensational and we've never experienced anything like it before.

We can say that this was the best vacation we've ever had.

We felt Patagonia as well as Buenos Aires to be very safe and above all very clean.

When it comes to sustainability, Germany can learn a lot. Plastic bags are nowhere to be found, not even for a fee. Straws don't exist anywhere. The ship has an extensive sustainability concept and nature conservation is very important.

So now we've landed again in gray and rainy Germany,

with a suitcase full of impressions and experiences that we will cherish for a long time.👫❤️
