The day started early at 6:00 AM, at least for one of us. Since the sun hadn't risen yet and the heat was bearable, I went out for a jog. The plan was to get a baguette or some other bread for breakfast, but I found out that all the bakeries only open at 7:30 AM. So I came back to the accommodation empty-handed. After a quick shower, the cozy bed was just too irresistible. Long story short, we fell back asleep and didn't wake up until 12:00 PM. After that, we went out to get some food and ended up having a pretty late breakfast at 2:00 PM. We spent the afternoon relaxing in our accommodation. In the evening, we took the MRT to the city. There, we took a walk through one of the many parks, crossed the Anderson Bridge, and reached the Merlion, the symbol of Singapore. Unfortunately, it was undergoing renovations, so we couldn't see it up close. However, we had a good view of the Marina Bay Sands from there, and we enjoyed the spectacular laser show of the hotel.
