After breakfast in the sunshine in front of the motorhome, wonderful mountain scenery in front of us, we hike about 40 minutes past Lake Diamond to a viewpoint on Lake Wanaka. At the beginning of the hike, Malte has a crisis. He calms down at some point and then we hike to the viewpoint with fun. After that, we drive to a remote barbecue area by the lake, where we enjoy Doris sausages with sauerkraut and a cold beer. It's sunny and warm despite rain forecast. We spend the rest of the day by the lake. Overnight at the same spot at Diamond Lake.
