25.01. Wednesday, Twizel, Wanaka, 160km

Before continuing our journey, a cappuccino at the playground (with the red tractor). Arrival in Wanaka around 4:00 pm. Very beautiful lake with a view of the mountains. It is very windy, so the waves are crashing on the shore. Because of the sunny weather, we start our hike to Mt. Iron. 2x45 minutes. Malte is doing well. A very nice circular path. Great view of the lake and the surrounding mountains from the top. After that, we go shopping at New World and drive to the overnight location 18km away at Lake Diamond. A very nice place surrounded by mountains.
