At the beginning of August, we spent a week hiking in the Allgäu. The weather, which had been rainy in the weeks before, changed to sunny with temperatures over 30 degrees. Only on the day of departure, it was 15 degrees and rainy again, so saying goodbye wasn't so difficult. The region is very beautiful, but also very touristy, which is reflected in the prices. Unfortunately, our tourist tax did not include any cable cars, so we planned our hikes without using them. Unfortunately, our hotel was a disappointment because the food, which was advertised on the website as being prepared for guests with many natural ingredients, local products, and mainly fish, consisted of ready-made products from the local Lidl.
Hike Three-Lake Tour in the Tannheimer Valley
Unfortunately, we were 15 minutes late and were not allowed to pass the road to Vilsalpsee, so we had to park in Tannheim and take the bus up to the lake. First, we walked leisurely past Vilsalpsee before it became steep uphill until Landsberger Hütte, where we took a short break because it was raining outside. Then we made our way back to Tannheim via the Schochenspitze.
