Hello Cathedral Caves. I was looking forward to seeing you. World famous pictures with a lonely rock. I would have liked to give this rock a few more days of attention. From Whitianga we drove about 30 minutes to the Cathedral Coves. Now it was time to park the car, pack our things and hit the hiking trail. The track to the Cathedral Caves is really beautiful and easy to walk. Small inclines are occasionally rewarded with a great view of the Bay of Plenty. After 45 minutes, we reached our destination. The beach is really worth seeing! I recommend everyone who is in New Zealand or plans to travel here to take this experience. The beach was naturally overcrowded. No one was in the sea, almost everyone was constantly taking pictures. Hardly anyone just enjoyed the moment. After a few hours, we packed up again and hiked back to the car. A great day!
