Welcome to Central America!

We are excited that you are joining us on our journey through Central America! Through small updates, we want to share our adventures with friends, family, and all interested parties.

Starting in Cuba, our mostly flexible travel route will take us to the southeast of Mexico and from there overland through Central America. We will go through Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica before ending in Panama or ideally Colombia.

The return flights are not booked yet, but Dana is expected to start her journey back in January to prepare for her volunteer service in Serbia. Julian will have about two more months for the rest of the route. Through networks like workaway and couchsurfing, we want to try to blend in with the locals to make friends and immerse ourselves in the cultures. We want to live up to our passion for Latin America and improve our Spanish skills in the process.
