Yesterday I spent the whole day in the hostel and nearby. After a week, I have gotten used to the dirt, the noise, and the constant speeches, and I can move around outside on foot in the extreme traffic. Delicious breakfast in the morning - Brownies Café is only 500 meters away from the hostel and there is a great restaurant right across the street. Indian food is usually spicy and almost always vegetarian. I worship cows - pigs are dirty - not much meat left :)) Good for me, I can eat everything and a lot - finally!!! I was already losing weight. Now I have 3-4 hot meals a day. After packing, I went outside for a short while and bought a new scarf - I lost the other one after the train journey - and a mango - it tasted different from in Germany. They have different varieties here. Back at the hostel, I finally had a European in my room - from England. He just came from Thailand and since that's my next stop from June 5th, I got some information directly.
Today I'm on my way to Rishikesh. Gateway to the Himalayas on the Ganges. I'm flying - it's only 45 minutes. Otherwise, I would have had to sit on a bus for 7 hours or longer. Then another 45 minutes to the hostel by Uber. It should actually be only 29 degrees there - but apparently, it's as hot as 38 degrees just like in Delhi.
