Unser neues Törtchen hat es ans Ende der Welt geschafft!

It's finally continuing!

After great weeks in Romania, our high roof was finally delivered!

We built it with a lot of help (accommodation during the process, helping hands on the car, and many open ears for complaining about everything that could go wrong ;) . THANK YOU, you know who you are!

So where did our brand new Törtchen take us?

Northern Spain, along the coast to Fisterra, the western end of the world. Jacob's milestone ZERO :)

What have we experienced?

Wild flamingos, lavender fields, and salt lakes in southern France

The Pyrenees with their small Monte Perdido National Park:

The Aniscolo Canyon, cracked earth fissures and 'stacked' rocks.

In Torla Ordessa: a whole waterfall valley. Five in number, each worth a tour in itself!

The Picos de Europa National Park with its rugged limestone formations!

Note: It doesn't hold water. No water sources uphill... But beautiful caves and well-aged moldy cheese.

Fog-covered valleys and once you have made it up to the hut: sea view!

Törtchen has received a lounge living room upgrade, including visits to Bauhaus and IKEA!

What is especially great?

The weather is perfect, 22/18 degrees Celsius!

There is good ham everywhere, even at Lidl!

Mountains and sea together, no matter where you stand!

Swimming at (too) many dream beaches!

What's next?

We still have San Sebastián in the Basque Country waiting for us and a tour in the French Pyrenees. Then slowly back through the breathtaking Switzerland.

Why?

Unfortunately, our dream Törtchen has to wait a bit while we go to Peru on August 11th!
