Pucón - Geometricas

Today I will relax as recommended. Besides, it's Christmas and I booked a tour to the Geometricas hot springs 2 days ago. They are said to be the most beautiful in all of Chile.

While everybody in Germany is sitting under the Christmas tree opening presents, I'm on my way. Unfortunately, there is no bus that goes there, so I booked a tour through an agency again. We leave at 12:30. The ride takes about 2 hours. We stop at a lake along the way where we can take pictures. After the nature experiences of the past few weeks, this lake panorama is rather boring.

Everyone back on the bus, onward we go. The scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful and I'm a little annoyed that we were dropped off at this lake for photos and not here. But oh well. On to the Geometricas hot springs. We have 3 hours here. I'm thinking to myself, "what am I going to do here for 3 hours? In Germany, 3 hours in the sauna is cool, but here it's just hot pools..."

I go in and WOW, it's beautiful. As recommended to me (D. ❤️), I first walk all the way to the end of the red bridge and take photos. That's probably about 300-500m. At the end, there's a waterfall that fills the gorge with its numerous pools.

After exploring the huge facility, I go for a splash and try out the different pools. It's so wonderful to relax in the bathtub-warm water in this breathtaking nature :-) Above me are rocks, tropical plants, birds singing, the sound of the river, and the sun. Christmas Eve muy bien!

The 3 hours pass, not as quickly as I thought! Super relaxed and happy, we drive back to Pucón and celebrate Christmas Eve with fire, barbecue, and fun people from all over the world...
