Hello everyone! Here, as promised, is the continuation.
From the coastal city of La Serena, I flew to San Pedro de Atacama in the north of Chile about 1.5 weeks ago. From there, I took a 4-day tour to Bolivia. The 4 days were incredibly exhausting but totally worth it. We went in a jeep to hot springs, lagoons, geysers, and to an altitude of over 5,000 meters. We also saw wild animals on the tour, including llamas, vicuñas, flamingos, a fox, and even a scorpion that had sneaked into one of our rooms in one of our accommodations 😅🦂 According to our guide, the scorpions found there are not dangerous to humans. Our guide or driver always provided us with coca leaves to chew on to help with the altitude sickness. It's like a mini-drug 😅. But it was especially effective against headaches. The highlight of the tour was visiting the salt flats on the penultimate day. The salt flats in Bolivia stretch over 120 km... it was simply incredible to see this completely white landscape. After a short stay in the city of Uyuni, we went back to Chile. I can't write much more about the tour. I think the pictures speak for themselves ☺😃
