Arrival and Ferry

After a smooth journey and first overnight stay, we get another big surprise from winter, 150 km before La Spezia. It is snowing just as you would imagine for Christmas. Big flakes! And the Italians drive snowplows in rows of three.

The Grimaldi ferry disappoints us. Contrary to its noble namesake, it is not luxurious, the mattress is average, and the way to the dog deck is long and confusing. But we make it safely, including Mayla.

We take our first breakfast break in Santa Lucia and enjoy the view of the sea and pleasant temperatures. Now we continue to Arbatax.
