The departure from Camping Garrofa is not easy. The pitches and paths are so narrow that you have to maneuver a few times until you are out again. But then we continue towards Marbella. On the left and right only plasticland, white plastic greenhouses, under which our tomatoes and cucumbers and whatever else grows. Not a nice sight, and it looks like a workplace for the poorer ones.
The whole coast from Torremolinos is a single tourist hotspot. We try a few times to find a parking space that is at least halfway decent - we realize we are spoiled and keep driving. You can't even take a break here. Everything is built up and there's a lot going on here. Not like before.
Finally, we drive to a parking space in Cale de Mijas on a huge parking lot, which is probably used as an exhibition site, circus ground, and market area. There are about 50 others standing there besides us. But we're done for today! We take a walk into the village, I admire plants in the gardens again, which I bring through the winter with great difficulty every year. Here they grow like weeds....
The next morning there is actually a market, which of course we do not miss. Today we continue to Gibraltar.
