December 9 - New location Mandurah

Publicatu: 09.12.2018

The farewell to rocking ham (Rockingham) was not difficult for us. Fortunately, the check-in was not without problems. There were no towels (they were only delivered after a full day!). There were no instructions for WLAN. There was only an automated check-in. Today, when checking out, I put the key in the designated keyhole, but wisely kept the login data. Because when we wanted to leave the premises, we were faced with a locked gate that couldn't be opened. I was only able to open the pedestrian exit. At least! But unfortunately, not big enough to get the car onto the road. So I went back to the key box, entered the storage code, got the key, went to the gate, opened it, drove onto the road, and wanted to return the key afterwards. The gate had closed in the meantime. But luckily, I still had the apartment key.... So I went back to the key box, returned the key, reset the combination. When I got to the gate, it was locked again. But I still knew how to open the pedestrian door....

As I said, the farewell wasn't difficult for us, especially since doors in the house kept banging all night, people in a neighboring apartment were talking loudly all night, and a stupid dog barked continuously for at least an hour. The latter was probably right below us. We don't know why it eventually stopped. Maybe it died of exhaustion.

Only gallows humor can endure that!

Now we are in Mandurah, a planned city, which is quite common around Perth. Presumably, these planned residential areas have all been built in the last ten years. Here, someone wanted to create a modern Venice, with many waterways and bridges in the modern Venetian style. People seem to feel comfortable in the recreational facilities that have also been created here. There are playgrounds for children, barbecue and picnic areas, even with shading, which is necessary in these temperatures (again around 30 degrees, but with less wind than yesterday). The few photos show a bit of it.

LG
