20.11.18 - Waterfall Tour

The last booked tour took place today. We were picked up by the bus quite early. We already knew two girls from this tour from the other tours in Cairns. We had a really nice tour guide who told us a lot about the regions we were in and made extra long stops so that we had enough time. We visited two waterfalls. First, the Josephine Falls and then the Millaa Millaa Falls. The latter are known from the Herbal Essences commercial from earlier... We were allowed to swim at both waterfalls. That was really cool!

Then we made a lunch stop, where we could take a short walk through the rainforest and observe turtles! Unfortunately, we didn't see any tree kangaroos or platypuses.

Then we stopped at a point where the guide always sees platypuses, but I didn't see any there either. The others briefly saw one in the river. Our last stop was at a lake. But I didn't feel like swimming there. There were apparently some animals in it and they had already seen crocodiles there... So I stayed outside 😜

Back in Cairns, Ines and I enjoyed the evening. We had a delicious dinner and sat by the lagoon and also by the sea. We had to pass the time until midnight. Then I took her to the bus and said goodbye.
