Good Morning Vietnam

Publicatu: 30.01.2017

After four beautiful and eventful weeks in Germany, with family, friends and great moments, our journey continued eastward... Destination: Vietnam

We met with Hanh and Jan in Saigon (or as it is officially called: Ho Chi Minh City) and celebrated our reunion extensively. Since Hanh lived in Saigon for a long time, she was the perfect tour guide. We didn't have to worry about anything 😊 The hotel was booked, we always ate well and saw the most important things in the city. Later, two more friends from Germany joined us... Tú and Björn. We were able to enjoy delicious homemade food at Tú's mother's house in Saigon.

Saigon is loud, beautiful and lively! Many people, lots of hustle and bustle, and unbelievably many mopeds! The traffic situation is a horror that you have to get used to. But you get used to everything 😉 Nevertheless, you need a little courage to cross the street... the motto is not to stop...

There is a friendly and pleasant atmosphere! You can endure it here!... great cafes, nice bar-restaurant and club culture. In addition, you can shop to your heart's content at unbeatable prices. That makes girls' hearts beat faster 😉

The city, or rather all of Vietnam, was in the preparations for the upcoming Tet holidays - the New Year festival. A lot of effort is made... Flowers upon flowers are brought in... a special feature here as this flower splendor is rare due to the climate. By the way, the year 2017 is the year of the Fire Rooster in the zodiac.... hm... does that mean anything good? Let's assume loudly...

The Vietnamese celebrate this festival with their families, traditions are lived, the cities become emptier... the buses, trains and airports in turn become fuller.

From Saigon, we drove to the coast of Mui Ne for a few days, a kite-surfing paradise. Here, we let our souls dangle a bit and recovered from the hustle and bustle of the big city. It was beautiful!
